have successfully completed the year long program.
The letters across the top represent the program they have
participated in.
The
words "Tempered, Tried and Proven" communicate
that this person has been shaped by the fires of challenge
upon challenge, has acquired substantial knowledge and demonstrated
their dominance and self control.
The
Phoenix represents the process of learning in the lifestyle.
The heart represents the gift of knowledge they have received
from the Mentors.
The
date signifies the year they participated in the program.
Mentors
Patch:
The
Austin Mentors Patch is the official patch of those who
have successfully served as Mentors in the program for more
than 1 year. Many who wear this patch have been in service
to their community for many years.
The letters across the top represent the program they have
served in.
The
Mentors creed is "facta non verba", or "Action
Not Words", and signifies the individuals who can walk
their talk. They are the positive role models within the
community.
The
Phoenix represents the Mentors' role in the everchanging
learning process in the lifestyle. The educators are the
heart of the lifestyle, passing on their values and traditions.
The
Circled "M" represents the individual Mentor and
the mastery that is found within them.
